This is a great place to bring your family for a simple meal. Kids genuinely enjoy it a d the service is genuinely friendly. Extremely positive attitudes are a terrific compliment to any meal. Very simple American decor and menu. The dishes are well prepared and the ingredients are good quality and great portions. It’s the perfect kind of place to relax and enjoy living in the heart of the Midwest.
THIS IS THE PLACE YOU NEED TO VISIT WITH YOUR FAMILY! I can’t say enough good things about apple holler. From all the fun activities, to the animals, to the apple picking, it’s just there’s something for everyone to do! Don’t forget to eat the amazing fresh apple cider donuts, or grab some regular apple cider or even an apple cider slushee! Everyone there is so nice and pleasant. My one year old daughter knocked the slushee out my hand and one of the staff members seen it fall and they yelled out “I’ll get you another one” and within literally a minute they got me a new slushee. Things like this make me absolutely LOVE apple holler on a different level! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
It’s not truly the fall season until we visit Apple Holler, it brings all the changing of the seasons “feels” to your senses!
If you love delicious bacon , ham, fresh eggs ,corn bread ,biscuits and gravy like grandma on the farm made this Is your place . The very best of apple sauce and apple butter to spread on your corn bread is yummy .If you go away not full shame on you . You can not ask for better and a more kinder staff that waits on you . 5 stars for breakfast and looking forward to dinner .
Wait staff was personable and efficient. Prompt service. Food arrived quickly and hot. Shop staff also very efficient and friendly. Loved seeing the horses (even from a distance). We’re always amazed at how many different activities are offered.
Apple Holler , while I would call it a tucked away hidden gem, it is anything but. It couldn’t be any more right in your face. The truth is it’s a Wisconsin standard. Apple picking , pumpkin patch, cherry pies there’s a reason for Apple Holler in every season. Today we stopped in just because, maybe it was the traffic moving us off of the freeway, maybe it was the call of home cooking. Eating in I asked our server Lexi what was amazing on the menu. She suggested a delicious Chicken Ranch Sandwich, I added a side of Mac n Cheese. Sooo, everything was wonderful. Understatement. Lexi was on the nose, the food was amazing, then came the suggestion of apple pie with ice cream . Mmmmm. Can’t wait to come back, great food, great service, ambiance… pie!
I live about 40 minutes away in S/E WI and don’t always get to Apple Holler as often as I would like but everytime I do come here you can bet the food is GREAT!!! The entire staff from the Hostess –to the waitress– to the gal bringing around the samples of the donuts—EVERYONE is committed to showing you a great dining experience!!!There was 6 of us and we all had the Breakfast Buffet!!! The food is very good and they have a great selection of food and fruits and sweets!!! None of us had any complaints!!! So if you want some excellent food and Super service and some of the best homemade sweets—Run to Apple Holler
The ribs are amazing 😍😍😍 fall of the bone and a slight taste of apple. Make sure to have room because the sides are delicious as well and it’s a large meal. May want to consider the quarter rack. I would recommend this perfectly kitchy diner
Every time we visit, I am more and more impressed with the service and food choices. Amazing choices on the menu, and the buffet is always fresh. I have to leave with leftovers every time because the meals are so filling. I absolutely love when we have dinner at Apple Holler.
This is the best place ever! Best fried chicken I’ve ever had and tree apple-peach pie omg ahhhhmazing
It was my first time here and I absolutely loved it. The staff is super friendly and it was such a great atmosphere. Definitely will be back!
I wanted to post pics of the buffet, but they don’t do it justice! Carving station, all the key players AND biscuits and gravy, cheesy hash browns, bread pudding, french toast/pancakes with the most delicious fixin’s, apple cider donuts, the most amazing quiche and bacon and SO MUCH more.
Or go for an menu item like the prime rib skillet we had…WOWZA!
Our server, Barbara, was excellent. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome, she gave me very good suggestions and she made sure everything we ordered was to our liking and she even got my daughter a to go cup for her lemonade. Wonderful service
We enjoyed the location that we were seated at, next to the fireplace in the main dining area. And Dave checked on us during the evening to make sure we were comfortable.
I recently took a friend to lunch for her birthday at Apple Holler! We enjoyed the table in the corner with windows looking out toward the bird feeders and the horses. (My friend LOVES horses!) Our food was excellent and our waitress was so lovely and attentive to us. She recommended favorite dishes. I had the Turkey Feast and my friend had a beef sandwich of some sort that she said was very good. We also really enjoyed the apple cider (where else can you get apple cider with your meal?)
Restaurant has a warm, cozy feeling and delicious food, served hot and plentiful and reasonably priced. Its a true taste of Wisconsin food and people for travelers northbound on I94. We are locals and we love it!
The atmosphere is so inviting and friendly. Everyone makes you feel at home. I brought a new friend who hadn’t eaten here before but had picked apples and got a pumpkin. She said wow! Wished she had eaten here before! So delicious! Loved the hot apple cider on this cold winter day! She will definitely come back and tell her friends too! Thanks for being my favorite place to take friends to eat and shop in your wonderful store!
We love the “home cooked” meals we get at Apple Holler. We have always been very full when we leave! Your servers and hostess are top notch as well as everyone we have come in contact with. Apple Holler is one of our favorite restaurants to dine at and we have brought many friends into the restaurant to enjoy a great meal. We also love your apples and your bakery items too!!! The gift shop has unique, fun gifts and decor to purchase. Keep up the great customer service and excellent meals!!

We went on the 6th. What a GREAT event for this kids! Staff was WONDERFUL! Cast did a great job on the show and we stayed had a great lunch at their restaurant after. Santa even came into the restaurant and greeted the little ones afterwards. Such a cozy place, and people really are warm and welcoming! I fully recommend!
Apple Holler is a mandatory stop for me whenever I drive to Milwaukee. I’m OBSESSED with the apple dumplings. The apple cider donuts run a close second. Service is always superb and there are always new pantry items to discover. I love this place.
Large selection of menu items. The onion soup in the crock topped with melted cheese was awesome. The staff is amazing. Always a great experience to eat here!
It was my daughter’s birthday, and she made sure everyone knew. On our way out, we were stopped by none other than Santa who gave her hugs, took photos with her, wished her a very happy birthday, and gave her candy canes (with mom’s approval, of course). To be honest, the service here always goes above and beyond like this. We love Apple Holler and there’s a reason it was the one place my daughter asked to go for her birthday!
We love stopping at Apple Holler on our way through from out of state and always do, not just to enjoy a meal but also to take home some goodies from the gift shop. And we have a number of family and friends who count on us to bring them home some of the wonderful barbecue sauce!
I brought my god-sister here for her birthday. It was our first time visiting. We were so impressed starting with the inviting and fun outside decoration. The food was awesome. Our waitress Barb was a delight. And I loved the ambiance of the entire dining place…I could have stayed just for that. And I liked the store it smelled so good. I bought cider and nutmeg. Even though we live in Milwaukee, we are definitely will pay another visit to apple holler.
Great menu choices and super service. Love the fireplace on the porch. So cozy. Also, your bakery still has THE best cider donuts!

We love coming here because everyone is always so friendly, upbeat, and the food is always great. It’s like going over to your family’s house to visit. So warm and inviting and tasty food. We love making the drive from Chicago for the afternoon as a nice little getaway and will definitely be back soon!
This was our first time to your restaurant. We have lived in southeast Wisconsin for a long time and never took the time to get off the highway and give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back.
I would highly recommend this place to pick apples. It was busy the day we went, but the place was so organized and well-run that it didn’t feel too crowded. They had a good selection of pick-your-own apples, and the apple cider donuts from the bakery were delicious.
I really enjoyed our lunch at Apple Holler, as I usually do. I have never been disappointed with service or the food. All the servers have always been pleasant and attentive to our wants. Keep up the good work and I will keep on coming back happy.
What an adorable place! I think this is definitely a beautiful hidden treasure here in WI. ? I’ll definitely be back.
The food is excellent. The menu is extensive. The customer service and smiles are wonderful.
Our family and guests come here a lot. We love the quality and diversity of food items, love the cozy atmosphere and the gift shops!
The food is great but the people are outstanding. Thank you for always making these events so special.
We really like the breakfast..it is well done and hot…we will be back

Service and wait staff excellent Love the Christmas decorations
I alway like coming to apple holler because of the good food, and the people are friendly. Reminds me of home cooking.
The staff is friendly and you serve delicious food at reasonable prices.
We really appreciated our waitress, Nicole—–She was attentive but yet sensitive to letting us have time to visit.
Our Easter buffet meal was excellent. The prime rib was very tender and tasty. There was a large selection of items, and all items were refreshed often. Apple Holler does an excellent job of providing great service for a holiday meal.
Love the food and the customer service. It’s a warm and family oriented place and I hope that never changes.
The soup was excellent (chicken noodle) and the staff was very gracious in allowing us to visit uninterrupted.
We sat on the side porch area – near the fireplace. It’s always so cozy and warm there – very homey. The food is always wonderful as well as the coffee. I love the little extras like the ginger/raisin cornbread. It was a very nice pleasant afternoon. Thanks
Been to quite a few orchards in Illinois and glad we found Apple Holler. From the north suburbs of Chicago it’s only 40-45 minute drive and it is conveniently located right off 94. This orchards is great for families, especially with little kids and is a great value. Most places charge you for picking apples and then a separate admission for their kids/activities areas. Here the apple picking charge gives you admission to the kids activities area which has a corn maize, a smaller sized kids maize, a playground, pedal karts, big tube slide, and other activities. They also include a free pony ride ticket for anyone under the age of 10 which is a nice bonus as well. I would suggest going earlier as it does get crowded once the afternoon rolls around. If you do go apple picking, make sure you do keep your receipt with you as they will check for a receipt before you enter the orchard as well as when you leave, so make sure to keep it. The staff throughout the property were extremely friendly and warm. From the greeters, to the sales booth, top those operating the bakery they were fantastic. I really appreciate that they were extremely professional and kind in asking a guest who was unmasked if they would kindly put on a mask and even provided masks as well. The orchard was well organized and the apples were plentiful. A tractor pulling different colored train type carts would take you half a mile or so to an area or you could walk if you preferred. after picking our apples we played at the kids area doing the kids maize, playground, big slide, the pony ride, and fed some goats. Though the kids area was not as big and didn’t have as much activities as other orchards do, there was still plenty to do and the kids had a great time. Of course when you go to an orchard, besides their apples. trying their baked goods is a must. The apple cider donuts here were good. They had a nice apple/cinnamon flavor and were fluffy. They have an apple cider slushies that is purely apple with no sugar added, which is a huge plus as the kids loved them as they were sweet from just the apples and weren’t bouncing off the walls. The apple cider was so refreshing on a hot day was just as you imagine cider to be. We also tried the caramel apple pie which was good. It was filled with apples and had a crumble on top without being overloaded with caramel sauce. There was enough caramel to add some sweetness but not too much that it overpowered the taste of apple. The crust was a little lacking as it was very thin on the bottom. The topping had quite a bit of oatmeal which overall made it taste and gave it a texture more like an apple crisp than a pie but overall it was still good. I especially recommend this place if you have families with younger children as its a great time and value for any weekend.
Such great family fun! Lots of people, but once you got out to the orchard, you were so spread out, you barely noticed other people. After the orchard, my 2 year old lived playing on the playground, the big slide, and the corn pit. Apples have been delicious, too, so all around great experience! Can’t wait to go back!
