STURTEVANT, WI – Apple Holler is excited to announce a special anniversary. It’s been 30 years since doors first opened for families to experience the magic of apples and to make memories. Apple Holler will celebrate this milestone with its guests by giving back to the community. From February 14th through February 28th, guests who bring in a canned good will receive 30% off a single bakery item of their choice.
Apple Holler has a rich history. What was originally an old dairy barn was converted by Dave and Vicki Flannery into the Red Barn Restaurant, Country Store and Bakery in 1987. Five years later, they started planting thousands of fruit trees, and created a Farm Park. Thanks to creativity, dedication and hard work of many, Apple Holler has transformed into a down-home setting, traditional meeting spot and a special place for thousands of people.
“We feel very blessed and fortunate for the business we’ve had in the last 30 years,” owner Dave Flannery said. “I am so incredibly thankful for all of the support from our community and feel this is a great opportunity to pay it forward.” Flannery adds “We are excited to see what the next 30 years has in store for us.”
The canned goods collected from this anniversary celebration will be donated to community food banks in the area. Bakery items available during the 30% off celebration include large and small fruit pies, apple or cherry turnovers, fruit pillows, giant chocolate chip cookies, cider donuts, triple layer chocolate cake, cinnamon rolls, apple dumplings, sticky buns, pumpkin bars, elephant ears and caramel apples.
The following is a list of items that are in need in the surrounding community: Canned Vegetables, Soups, Canned Fruit, Protein Foods (peanut butter, cans or jars of nuts, canned seafood & poultry), Whole Grains, Pancake Mix & Syrup, Boxed Mashed Potatoes & Stuffing, Flour, Sugar, Jello & Pudding cups, Pie Filling, Dish Soap and Laundry Soap.
