A Fireside Chat With Mr. & Mrs. Lincoln

Racine, WI – In honor of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and President’s Day, Apple Holler invites guests to join the Lincolns on February 17 at 7 p.m. for a time travel experience back to the White House in 1865. An in-depth, entertaining performance will give an exclusive look at not only Abraham and Mary Todd’s courtship and early marriage, but also the memories they have of starting a family, the development of Mr. Lincoln’s political career, his presidency and the tumultuous years of the Civil War.

“At Apple Holler, we are all about nostalgia,” owner and CEO Dave Flannery said. “This performance shows guests how politics have evolved and offers interesting perspectives from more than 100 years ago.”

The Lincolns’ stories will reveal the personal traumas they endured, with focus on the significant event at Ford’s Theatre that became an integral part of our history.

The performance takes place in the main dining room of Apple Holler’s Red Barn Restaurant warmed by its grand fieldstone fireplace. This opportunity to witness living history is $39.95. The package includes the performance, your choice of prime rib, chicken veronique or baked salmon for dinner, caramel apple pie for dessert (of course!) and a beverage. Beer, wine, and cocktails will be available at an additional cost. Price does not include tax and tip. For reservations, please call (262)-884-7100.
