Join us for a fun day of Old World German heritage festivities! Enjoy our first stop sampling fresh Cheese and delectable chocolates with wine tasting available at the Cedar Valley Cheese Store & Factory.
Then on for an afternoon of merriment as we arrive at the Laack’s Hall also known as the Great Fasching Fest Hall, a festival that’s now legendary, celebrating its 21st year. We’ll enjoy a feast fit for a king, followed by an afternoon of more than two hours of wonderful music performed by Dorf Kapelle, and some of the best musicians in Wisconsin. Our first stop of the day in New London, Wisconsin (re-named New Dublin for this special week.) We’ll explore: Lincoln’s Historic home, The Old State Capital Plaza, Lincoln’s Tomb, The Lincoln Library & Museum, which is the world’s largest collection of documentary material related to Abraham Lincoln’s life. It features hi-tech exhibits, interactive displays, and multimedia programs, as well as a reproduction of the White House as it looked in 1861 and more. For a little architectural interest, we’ll visit the Dana Thomas House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1902, which contains the largest collection of original Wright art glass and furniture.
