A fast paced musical show, "Our Living Plant" teaches kids respect for nature as they enjoy a high energy learning experience. Recycling, conservation of resources and preserving the planet for the future are covered. Discover the "Hidden Magic of Seeds" as you learn the need for water, soil, air and sun as the seed grows. Children will plant a bean seed and
take it to the class room to watch it grow with their teacher. Also learn about the "Life Cycle of an Apple Tree" from seed to blossom to pollination to apple. Learn the importance of photosynthesis. Enjoy our live bee exhibit while learning about how bees pollinate our apple trees. Then have fun on the Enchanted Forest wagon ride through our blossoming apple orchard. (Depending on the weather conditions.)

A summer field trip to Apple Holler is a perfect choice for day camps, day care centers and summer school. Come tour our farm and see apples, pumpkins, pears and vegetables growing.
Every one will enjoy smelling, touching and tasting fresh growing herbs and vegetables in "Grandma's Garden of Eatin."
Also learn how a flower drinks water, which parts of the plant we eat, visit our "Salsa Garden", then help make and eat salsa. We will also discuss how compost is made, learn what compost is and how it is used.

Apple Holler in Sturtevant is a fun-filled destination offering all of the tastes and memories of a perfect day down on the farm. Now, for a limited time - September through November - Apple Holler is proud to present and educational musical show about an American Legend, Johnny Appleseed.
Plan now to attend this fun musical show which teaches kids the legend of Johnny Appleseed together with lessons about getting along with each other, early American history and, of
course, planting fruit trees.
This delightful one-person show brings Johnny Appleseed to life with music, laughter and audience participation. Then, combine it with a trip into our 70-acre apple orchard and woods. Your kids are guaranteed to have a great day on the farm.

Winter Wonderland
January, February, March & April
He gilded the grass, silvered the woods, coated the leaves, fruit and pumpkins. Everything Glistened! Jack Frost is so proud of his beautiful work that he decides to stay forever. But what happens when Jack announces he's going to take up residence? Can he really hold back the coming of Spring?
Children will love the magic of this story as they gain knowledge of the parts of an apple tree and the need for each season in nature's cycle. The "Apple Holler's Winter Wonderland" presentation teaches what farm animals and wild animals do in winter. Children will also enjoy a hot pancake lunch with maple syrup while they learn how maple syrup is made.
